Planning an African safari should be almost as much fun as the trip itself: researching options and imagining yourself on this epic adventure is an exhilarating build-up to your trip of a lifetime! The sole focus of your Safari Experts is to design the ideal itinerary for you based on your travel desires, needs, and budget.
Our mission is to provide you with a truly memorable, tailor-made safari while also providing you with complete peace of mind. A trip of this magnitude necessitates time and meticulous planning, which is why partnering with on-the-ground experts, local insiders and hand-picked guides ensures that every experience is truly extraordinary.
Step 1: Get to know you
You begin your journey by contacting us via our online form. Include as much information as possible–the more, points of interest, budgets, and any special requests are all useful information for us to work with. Please keep in mind that there is no obligation; we are happy to answer questions and share our knowledge in the hopes of creating your dream safari with you.
Step 2. Present you with an adventure
Based on the information you provide, we’ll partner you with your Safari Expert well-versed in your desired destinations, experiences, activities, accommodations, etc. Your Expert will introduce himself via email within 24 hours (48 if it’s the weekend) and will want to spend some time learning more about you and your party’s travel preferences. They’ll follow up by sharing resources to help you create your perfect trip together.
Step 3. Make changes where necessary
Your Africa Safari Expert will create custom itinerary options made for you to review together. Share your thoughts on your itinerary, and if there are any changes, we’ll walk through it together, working to fine-tune each detail to the precise sound you’d like to hear. Is there something wrong? We’ll fix it, don’t worry. The end result will be a trip that will completely capture your imagination.
Step 4. Make a provisional booking
After you’ve decided on your preferred itinerary, your Safari Expert will make a provisional booking to hold all aspects of your trip (except flights). These are valid for about two weeks before they are released to other waiting travelers, giving you time to make any further last-minute changes. We’ve seen people lose space in their ideal accommodations, so don’t procrastinate too long!
Step 5: Confirm your booking
All services (accommodations, road transfers, etc.) require a 30% deposit. When you pay this deposit, your reservation is officially confirmed. We will confirm your trip with all of our suppliers and ensure they have all of you and your party’s necessary travel information.
Step 6: Support
As your trip approaches, a few thoughts may arise, and we’re here to help you sort them out. With our first-hand knowledge, we’ll advise you on everything from what to wear to the best time to go on a game drive. Our helpful hands are available to you 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
Step 7: Travel Safely
The big day has finally arrived! We’ve taken care of every last detail so you can sit back and relax. In addition, we provide you with a direct, 24/7 phone line operated by our Safari Experts who are available to assist you at any time during your trip.
Step 8: Finally, share your thoughts with us
You’ve safely returned home, and your heart is teeming with memories you’ll never forget. We’d like to know about them! Fill out the feedback form to tell us about your experiences. Then we’d appreciate it if you could share your experience with everyone on your favorite social media channel. (Don’t worry, we’ll send you a guide.)
