Step 2: Meet Your Safari Expert
Once we receive your details, you’ll be partnered with one of our experienced Safari Experts who specializes in your areas of interest and intended destinations. Within 24 hours (or 48 hours if it’s the weekend), your Expert will reach out via email to introduce themselves and begin the exciting planning phase.
Your Safari Expert will want to dive a little deeper — understanding who’s traveling, your pace preference (leisurely or action-packed), and what kind of experiences you want to prioritize. Expect them to share ideas, inspirational photos, past guest stories, and sample itineraries. This stage is all about co-creating a vision.
Step 3: Crafting the Itinerary Together
Now the real magic begins. Based on your feedback, your Safari Expert will develop a personalized itinerary tailored to your preferences. It will include recommended lodges, daily activities, transfers, and special moments like sundowners in the bush or private dinners under the stars.
Your input is vital — this is your safari, after all. Let us know what you love, what you’re unsure about, or what you’d like to swap out. Whether you want more time at a particular camp, fewer travel days, or an added cultural visit, we’ll make the necessary adjustments. This back-and-forth fine-tuning ensures your trip is aligned with your dream and built exactly how you want it.
Step 4: Provisional Booking
Once you’ve settled on your ideal itinerary, we’ll place a provisional hold on your safari accommodations and services (except for flights). This step secures availability for you, giving you roughly two weeks to finalize your plans without the risk of losing your preferred spots.
It’s worth noting that popular camps and lodges can fill up months in advance, especially during peak safari seasons. So while you have time to review and reflect, it’s wise not to delay too long.
Step 5: Confirm Your Safari Adventure
When you’re ready to make it official, a 30% deposit confirms your reservation. Once received, we lock in all aspects of your itinerary — accommodations, transfers, guides, and activities — and ensure our local suppliers have all your necessary travel details.
This marks the exciting point where your safari becomes real. Your Safari Expert will also provide a checklist and timeline of what to expect next, including final payment deadlines, packing suggestions, and travel tips.
Step 6: Pre-Departure Support
As your departure date nears, questions may pop up — and we’re here for all of them. From what type of clothing to pack, to how much cash to carry, to the ideal time for game drives in your region, our team has firsthand knowledge to guide you.
Need help with travel insurance, visa details, or dietary needs? No problem. You’ll receive a detailed travel pack, including your finalized itinerary, contact numbers, emergency information, and safari etiquette tips. Plus, you can always reach us — our support team is available 24/7.
Step 7: The Big Day — Travel with Confidence
The moment has finally arrived. You’re on your way to Africa, and everything is in place. From the time you land, your journey will be seamless.
