  • Days 1-5: Selous Game Reserve:

After landing in Dar es Salaam, it’s only a short flight into the Selous Game Reserve by light aircraft. Flying over, you’ll be astounded by the breathtaking scenery, as you see glistening rivers, verdant forests, and palms unfold before your eyes. You’ll land in the heart of the wilderness and be greeted by your guide, who will game drive you to your exclusive use safari property, Sand Rivers Selous, your wild home for the next four nights.

The Selous Game Reserve, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, is the largest in Eastern Africa and is well known for its large pack of wild dogs, big game, migrating elephants, river safaris, and tiger fishing. Your daily activities will be determined by the lodge or camp you choose.

    Days 5-7:  Stone Town:

It is now time for a change of scenery. After one final expedition in the Selous, you’ll board a light aircraft flight to Zanzibar. The first two nights on this island will be spent in Stone Town, the capital, where you will stay at the Park Hyatt Zanzibar. Explore this cultural melting pot and admire the intricate town’s heritage buildings as you meander through the streets and markets with your private guide, who will reveal Zanzibar’s complex history and links to the slave trade. Spend your afternoons relaxing in the infinity pool overlooking the Indian Ocean and watching the dhow boats sail by at sunset.

    Days 7-12: Zanzibar Island:

This morning, your driver will transport you to the island’s east coast. Wander through the pristine gardens to your palatial two-bedroom villa and plan out your days ahead. Whether it’s lounging by the gleaming pool with a cocktail in hand, strolling down the talcum-soft beach, or for those who don’t want to relax (namely teenagers with a lot of energy! ), the resort offers a wide range of activities. Enjoy an exciting snorkeling safari, a competitive game of beach volleyball or football, or a leisurely bike ride along the palm-fringed coastline.
