Kyaninga Lodge

A vibe of traditional East African and eco-luxury style

Home » Destinations » Uganda » Kibale National Park » Papaya Lake Lodge
Kyaninga Lodge is set against a stunning backdrop of Lake Kyaninga and the Mountains of the Moon beyond.
The nine bright and spacious cottages are situated on the slope of an extinct volcano, each hidden from the others by greenery, and have a vibe of traditional East African and eco-luxury style, embracing local artisan craftsmanship.
Eight of the cottages have two beds (one king-size and one single), local stone-decorated bathrooms with showers, and deckchairs on the verandas. The ninth cottage is a two-story villa with three bedrooms, a living room with a fireplace, a large bathroom, and a large terrace.
Cuisine is a one-of-a-kind fusion of influences from around the world with fresh local ingredients and garden produce, to be enjoyed in the communal dining area lit at night by kerosene lamps. This is also the location of a bar serving fine Ugandan coffee and cocktails, as well as the panoramic swimming pool.
