A beautiful setting on Lake Victoria’s northern peninsula

Entebbe, a city built on nature, is home to the cute and cheeky Vervet monkey and is a birdwatcher’s paradise. The extensive National Botanical Gardens and parks, along with the sea-like lake in the background, give the city a serene atmosphere, but don’t let that fool you; there’s plenty to do here during your stay.
The Uganda Wildlife Education Centre in Entebbe is the country’s national sanctuary, housing animals rescued from smugglers and poachers. A trip to Ngamba Island to see the chimp sanctuary is also highly recommended, as is a trip to the Mbamba Swamps to see the massive stork-like shoebills.
