Olakira Camp
Raw and authentic
Olakira Camp, which blends into its natural surroundings, keeps you close to the migration action on this mobile tented adventure. The camp, which is raw and authentic, has nine stargazing tents, including one family tent, and moves twice a year to follow the changing seasons of the herds and their predators, ensuring you get ringside seats for all the safari drama.
Olakira witnesses the incredible spectacle of thousands of animals calving in the vast grassy plains of the Southern Serengeti from December to March. A fantastic team of highly trained guides takes you on daily game drives and walks to observe lions and cheetahs stalking their prey. As winter approaches, Olakira moves north to the confluence of the Mara and Bolongonja rivers for spectacle.
Olakira’s nine tents are designed in such a way that a portion boasts a 270-degree view from beneath a mesh area, providing you with an outdoor experience while remaining indoors and the option to have your bed rolled into the meshed area for a magical experience of sleeping beneath the stars.
The mess and dining tents, which have panoramic views of the Serengeti plains, echo the style and ambience of the rooms. Spend the afternoon relaxing in the mess area’s armchairs or getting comfortable under the shade of the surrounding trees and simply watching the game pass by.
