Gibb’s Farm is a delightfully comfortable and charming lodge located on a working farm in the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. Gibb’s Farm, a short drive from the famous Ngorongoro Crater and surrounded by forest and gardens, offers peace and quiet away from the bustling traffic that congregates around the busy crater rim. The 95 acres of farm and forest that comprise Gibb’s are a great place to get out of the safari vehicle and walk. The farmhouse is surrounded by rather charming English gardens, where you can simply relax and enjoy the organic coffee that is processed and roasted right outside the lodge’s door.
Each of the 18 cottages is unique, with names and themes relating to various aspects of the farm and surrounding communities. Each cottage has its own unique story, which adds to the charm of the place. The warm main dining area is ideal for relaxing with a good book, or you could simply stroll through the gardens. Activities in the area are plentiful and include exploring the surrounding farm and village as well as venturing further afield to explore the Conservation Area that the lodge is adjacent to. In any case, Gibb’s Farm allows you to unwind in a beautiful setting before exploring the Crater itself.
