The only permanent luxury lodge in this game-rich national park is Lake Manyara Tree Lodge. Its ten stilted timber and makuti palm fronds treehouse suites blend intimacy and romance in cool, leafy surrounds, cradled in the boughs of huge mahogany trees.
The elegant bedrooms feature modern furnishings in neutral colors and textures, as well as overhead fans and billowing mosquito nets. Each treehouse suite has decks suspended above the forest floor and large windows that invite the lush forest inside, which is best enjoyed from the freestanding bath or from under the steaming hot water of an outdoor shower.
