Mount Kenya Game Park

Mount Kenya Game Park features Africa’s second tallest mountain, rising to 5,199 meters. The natural beauty that surrounds this UNESCO World Heritage Site is breathtaking. It’s a pristine wilderness with lakes, tarns, glaciers, deep woodland, mineral springs, uncommon and endangered animal species, high-altitude adapted plains wildlife, and unique montane and alpine plants. The craggy glacier-clad summits of the mountain provide the perfect backdrop for mountain climbing, camping, and caving.

The best way to get there:

By Road: The park is located 175 kilometers from Nairobi on the Nanyuki-Isiolo road via Sirimon Track or the Nyeri-Nanyuki road near Naro Moru. The park is also accessible via Chogoria, about 150 kilometers north of Nairobi, on the Embu-Meru route.
