Lewa Safari Camp
A stay here has a strong educational theme

Lewa Safari Camp is located just south of Mount Kenya and the Lewa Wilderness Conservancy, which is rich in wildlife. The black rhinos, which can be found wandering around in isolation and are thrilling to see, are a strong reason to visit this camp.
The camp has 12 safari tents, each with a thatched roof and its own verandah where you can sip your gin and tonic. The main boma has a crackling fireplace to keep you warm on chilly evenings, and you can take advantage of the swimming pool in the lodge’s lovely gardens during the midday sun.
The 62,000-acre conservancy has a strong management program in place to protect these creatures, allowing them to thrive in a historically harsh environment. A stay here has a strong educational theme, where you can gain a real understanding of the work that the Lewa Wilderness Trust does to keep the conservancy running. You will also be directly contributing to the community, and a walk through the nearby archaeological site transports you back to a time when prehistoric man roamed these lands.
