The Sanctuary at Ol Lentille

Your stay will directly benefit the local community

Home » Destinations » Kenya » Laikipia Plateau » The Sanctuary at Ol Lentille
The Sanctuary at Ol Lentille is a very different kind of lodge, consisting of four independent and uniquely designed houses that provide you with your own home away from home but in the most breathtaking setting. Your stay will directly benefit the local community, with funds going to schools, hospitals, and a variety of other projects.
The lodge itself sits high on hills with views of a beautiful valley below and spectacular 360-degree views of the private conservancy, which spans over 40,000 acres.
Every one of the architecturally stunning homes has access to a variety of courtyards, gardens, and decking. The stylishly contemporary African-style Chief’s house is the largest, with three en-suite bedrooms that comfortably sleep six people. There are two en-suite bedrooms in the Colonel’s House. The Sultan’s House and the retro African-style Eyrie are rather romantic one-bedroom houses.
The four houses share the main lodge area, which includes a library and an infinity swimming pool where you can relax while gazing down the valleys below. The library’s telescope provides details on the stars above, and the spa is available if you need some pampering after a true bush experience.
With an incredible array of activities on offer and plenty of flexibility, a stay here goes far beyond the typical safari format of early mornings and twice-daily game drives. Travel into the wilderness for a bush skills course, a walk with Samburu and Maasai warriors, a mountain bike tour of the reserve, and excellent 4×4 game drives. There are also some genuine cultural experiences.
