Loisaba Tented Camp is perched on the edge of an escarpment on the beautiful Loisaba Conservancy, with unobstructed views across Laikipia’s mottled landscape all the way to Mount Kenya. Loisaba has a strong focus on making a positive impact both environmentally and within local communities, in addition to providing guests with a memorable experience out in the African bush.
There are five large double tents, all of which are spacious and furnished with chic Africana furniture with a modern European flair. Each has a luxurious bathroom as well as a large verandah and a private grassed area in front.
There are also three family tents, which consist of two large tents connected by a walkway.
A large open dining area, separate lounge and bar, a large wooden decking area for outside dining, relaxing, and enjoying the view, and one of Africa’s most picturesque infinity pools are among the inviting communal areas.
Loisaba is an excellent example of successful collaboration between conservation, communities, and tourism, and the ranch is home to elephants, a healthy lion population, the rare wild dog, and a plethora of other species. Day and night game drives aboard a fleet of custom Land Rovers, horseback riding, camel trekking, guided bush walks, fishing, mountain biking, cultural visits to Samburu villages, and visits to anti-poaching sniffer dogs are among the activities available for experiencing the wildlife and landscape. A stay here complements a night at Loisaba Kiboko Starbeds.
