The Loisaba Kiboko Starbeds, perched atop a rocky kopje, offers breathtaking views of the reserve’s undulating valley as well as a permanent waterhole that attracts wildlife both day and night. Loisaba has a strong focus on making a positive impact both environmentally and within local communities, in addition to providing guests with a memorable experience out in the African bush.
Handcrafted four-poster wooden beds sit on raised wooden platforms jutting from a thatched-roof room and are rolled out each night for guests to sleep beneath the endless African sky. One of the four rooms has two double beds on separate platforms and is ideal for families. The rooms also include a sitting area and an open-concept bathroom with similarly stunning views.
Rise early to watch the sunrise from your bed with a hot beverage in hand; the day ahead promises adventure, with a plethora of activities to enjoy in Loisaba. On game drives and bush walks, a team of local Samburu and Laikipia Maasai warriors can show you the area’s wildlife, which includes elephant, a healthy lion population, the rare wild dog, and a plethora of other species. You can also go mountain biking, fishing and visit a nearby village.
End your days with a drink by the log fire in the communal lounge, followed by dinner in the dining area or on the verandah. Staying here for a night or two complements the nearby Loisaba Tented Camp perfectly.
