Lengishu is a private safari house in northern Kenya, ideal for families or groups of friends, with stunning views to the north over the Borana Conservancy to the Northern Frontier District and the Mathews Ranges in the distance.
Lengishu has a very small environmental footprint, thanks to its rammed earth walls and sustainably sourced timbers in its roof and floors. The house has six bedrooms divided into four cottages, each with its own private en-suite bathroom and designed to take advantage of the views. The bathrooms have walk-in showers and large roll-top tubs, and the bedrooms have wood stoves or fireplaces for a cool night’s sleep.
Two of the cottages have a sitting room between the rooms, making them ideal for a family with younger children. The master bedroom is a separate cottage, and the main house includes a large dining room, lounge, and study. The large pool has beautiful west-facing views, and there is also a games room, a petanque pitch, and a gym.
