Laragai House

Ideal for a ‘house party’ in the African bush

Home » Destinations » Kenya » Borana Conservancy » Laragai House
Laragai House is located 17 miles north of the equator in the private Borana Ranch, a 35000 acre property with a high density of wildlife including large packs of wild dogs, a healthy number of rhino, and predators such as leopard, lion, and cheetah. This completely private and exclusive house, sister property to Borana Lodge, has eight en-suite bedrooms, two of which have their own fireplace. They share a magnificent heated swimming pool and a deck with a view of the dam, which attracts a large number of elephants and buffalo.
This location is ideal for a ‘house party’ in the African bush, as well as for families or large groups looking to explore this stunning area in complete privacy.
The Dyer family, who have owned the lodge for three generations, are passionate about conservation projects, and this will be a major focus for any visit to this lovely place. Education, poverty alleviation and employment, health, and, of course, wildlife management and conservation are all priorities.
Exposure to these projects is a great conversation starter, and the activities available to you are practically limitless. You can explore the vast expanse of the ranch and its excellent game on game drives, horseback, or mountain bike. A clay tennis court is a great way to spend an afternoon for the adventurous, you could go on a guided bush walk.
