This 10-days trip is the perfect mix of adventure and relaxation with a safari in the world-famous Masai Mara followed by four nights of beach bliss in Diani.

Your adventure begins in Nairobi, Kenya, where you will stay at the incredible Giraffe Manor, which is home to eight Rothschild giraffes that visit the house on a daily basis. You will have the opportunity to visit the David Sheldrick elephant orphanage while in Nairobi. The orphan program provides hope for the future of Kenya’s threatened elephant and rhino populations by hand raising orphaned animals and reintegrating them into Tsavo’s wild herds.

Next, you’ll take a short flight to the Masai Mara, where you’ll spend four days exploring this incredible ecosystem. Daily game drives highlight the park’s beauty and introduce you to its inhabitants, both large and small.

Finish on Diani’s tropical Indian ocean beaches to unwind, soak up the sun, sail the turquoise seas scented with spices, and generally slip into ultimate relaxation mode.

Itinerary
Days 1-2: Nairobi:

Begin your journey with a night in Nairobi, Kenya’s bustling capital. If you have time to explore, the city has a number of interesting attractions to discover. Otherwise, simply relax after your long flight before heading to Lewa Wildlife Conservancy tomorrow.

Days 2-5: Masai Mara:

After a leisurely breakfast, your driver will meet you and transfer you to Wilson Airport. As you board a light aircraft for the Masai Mara, your excitement grows. Look down at the sweeping plains dotted with acacia trees as you fly over, and as you descend, you’ll see giraffes and elephants ambling across the savannah. When you arrive at the airstrip, your guide will meet you and drive you to Sala’s Camp, your home for the next three nights. This authentic tented camp is located within the Masai Mara National Reserve, but in a very remote southern-central corner of it, on the serene Sand River.

After a hearty lunch under the shade of an acacia tree, you will depart on your afternoon game drive. With your own private vehicle and guide, you’ll be able to explore the Masai Mara at your own pace.

Days 5-10: Diani:

Now it’s time for a change of scenery. After a final morning game drive and a leisurely breakfast at the lodge, fly directly from the Masai Mara to Diani Beach. As you step off the plane, feel the tropical heat and cool ocean breeze as you are greeted by the hotel driver who will take you to your resort. The next 5 nights are entirely up to you. Step out onto the beach and feel the unbelievably soft powdery white sand between your toes, swim in the azure water, or relax by the pool with a cocktail in hand.

Days 10: Departure:

Today, you’ll fly from Ukunda Airstrip back to Nairobi in time for your flight home, cherishing the memories you’ve made and wanting to return for more!
