Serengeti & Zanzibar 

Days 1-2: Arusha:

Begin your journey with a night in Arusha. If you have time to explore, the city has a number of interesting attractions to discover. Otherwise, simply relax after your long flight before heading to Ngorongoro tomorrow.

Days 2-6:  Serengeti:

Check out of your lodge after breakfast and transfer to Arusha airport for a light aircraft flight to the Kogatende airstrip, where you will be met and transferred to your lodge for the next two nights.

Spend your days on safari exploring the northern reaches of the Serengeti, tracking the diverse array of game and wildlife that this vast area has to offer. If you’re lucky enough to be there during the great migration (depending on the season), this is the region where the herds are most concentrated as they seek to cross the Mara River to reach the open grasslands beyond, and it’s where you’ll see iconic river crossings. It’s also a place of wild natural beauty, with rolling hills, rivers, forests, and open plains.

Days 6-10: Zanzibar Island:

Check out of your lodge after breakfast and transfer to the Kogatende airstrip for a light aircraft flight via Arusha to Zanzibar Airport before transferring to your hotel.

Zanzibar is the place to unwind on palm-fringed beaches and white sifted sands, a genuine Indian Ocean paradise where life slows down to an East African rhythm.

Its most powerful allure is undoubtedly some of the most breathtaking desert island scenery imaginable – powder white sands fringed by emerald palms, twisted mangroves, and shallow turquoise seas bedded with rainbow coral reefs. However, its postcard appeal is much more than that.

Days 10:  Departure:

Transfer from your hotel to Zanzibar airport and board your light aircraft flight from Zanzibar to Dar es Salaam airport for your homebound flight.
