Singita Mara River Tented Camp
Truly ‘off the grid’ and relies entirely on a custom designed solar power array and uses recycled and natural materials
Singita Mara River Tented Camp is located in the Lamai triangle on the northern banks of the world-renowned Mara River, which is famous for its annual wildebeest migration crossings.
The Lamai triangle encompasses 40,000 hectares (98,000 acres) of the northernmost tip of Tanzania’s Serengeti National Park, neatly sandwiched between Kenya’s Masai Mara National Park in the north and the Mara River in the south.
Because of its distinctive soil composition, the Lamai triangle is a one-of-a-kind area of Tanzania, with one of the highest year-round concentrations of wildlife in the Serengeti National Park.
Singita Mara River Tented Camp strives to use as little energy and non-biodegradable materials as possible. In keeping with this concept, the camp is truly ‘off the grid,’ relying solely on a custom-designed solar power array and made entirely of recycled and natural materials.
